Im Heritage Center solltet ihr unbedingt eine Tasse Tee und Sheilas Appletart probieren. Dort erfahrt ihr außerdem alles über die Geschichte des Ortes, das übrigens das Zentrum der Tweed-Weber ist.
Im Corners Pub, in dem fast jeden Abend irische Musik gespielt wird, bekommt ihr leckeres Guinness und kommt mit den Einheimischen ins Gespräch.
Das Nancy‘s ist ein originaler 300 Jahre alter irischer Pub. Hier empfehlen wir eins der vielen leckeren kleinen Gerichte aus der Seafoodbar. Selbst die ‚Brigitte Woman‘ berichtete schon über Nancys legendären Guinness-Schokoladenkuchen. Wir empfehlen dazu einen Irish Coffee. One of the best in the world!
Eine große Portion Fish’n Chips solltet ihr im Westend–Restaurant genießen. Große Portionen in lokalem Ambiente – herrlich!
Liam steht immer dienstags und freitags mit seinem Fischwagen in Ardara und verkauft fangfrischen Fisch. Zum Beispiel: salmon, squid, cod, plaice … so frisch kriegt ihr den Fisch nirgendwo sonst!

The centre of Ardara is about five kilometres away.
Here you will find everything you need for everyday life: supermarkets, several pubs, some tweed and souvenir shops and cash machines. Internet access is available at the news agent and the post office.
The local people are all very welcoming, so please don’t hesitate to ask.

At the Heritage Centre, you should definitely try a cup of tea and Sheila’s appletart. You can also learn all about the history of the town, which is also the centre of the Tweed weavers.
At the Corners Pub, where Irish music is played almost every night, you can get a delicious Guinness and talk to the locals.
Nancy’s is an original 300-year-old Irish pub. Here we recommend one of the many delicious small dishes from the seafood bar. Their Guinness chocolate cake is legendary. We recommend an Irish coffee to go with it. One of the best in the world!
You should enjoy a large portion of fish’n chips at the Westend Restaurant. Large portions in a local ambience – wonderful!
Liam is always at Ardara on Tuesdays and Fridays with his fish cart selling freshly caught fish. For example: salmon, squid, cod, plaice … you won’t get fish this fresh anywhere else!
